Today Stronachie 12 year old has been bottled to commemorate the fantastic whisky that once was. Dewar Rattray did not want to produce any ordinary Single Highland Malt. Instead it was the aim to recreate the style and flavours of 100 years ago. Historically Single Highland Malt whiskies from that era tended to have a peaty or earthy chraracter about them. This was generally down to the associated distillation techniques at the time.

The label design has included an image of how the distillery looked during some of its lifetime.
